State explanation of why waiver is being requested:
A request is made to waive the requirement of concrete curbs along the parking lot edge to better
accomodate the proposed stormwater collection and treatment system of the project.
State reasons supporting waiver request:
The proposed drainage design provides for stormwater runoff from the new parking area to sheet
flow to a rock filtration trench and dry-detention basin. While curbs can be provided per the
ordinance, in order to provide a more uniform (and not concentrated) flow from the parking lot to the
trench, it is requested that the pavement edge be allowed NOT to include concrete curbs and curb
cuts.
