Hi, Alexia. Thanks for your email.
The signs for this project and for the Clay Terrace project have been posted already as of yesterday afternoon, and the
newspaper was scheduled to publish our notice in today’s issue of the Current in Carmel for both projects as well. (We
have NOT mailed to the surrounding property owners yet.)
While not a huge expense, it will take time (and money) to take signs down, create patches to cover the old dates,
repost the signs, and republish in the newspaper.
Could we leave the signs posted for now, especially because it sounds like it is not definite that the April Plan
Commission hearing is cancelled? That way if for some reason it is not cancelled, then we could proceed as
scheduled. Once it is determined when the hearing will actually take place, I can make the trip out with the patches to
cover the old date, if needed.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
Respectfully,

Hi Mark,
Actually, at our staff meeting today, we were told that we most likely will not have an April Plan Commission meeting. It
was decided that petitioners should not do their public notice for the April meeting as we don’t have a firm plan for
future meetings due to COVID 19 and we don’t want to falsely advertise that there will be a meeting. We are working
on what we will do next, and we will keep you posted as to how you should move forward with public notice and a new
1
meeting date. Tentatively, we are planning to have a May meeting. In the meantime, please don’t do any public notice,
but we will continue to review the project and plans.
Thanks for your patience and understanding during this time. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Alexia Lopez

Alexia,
Just to let you know, I had to post the sign a little bit further south than what we discussed.
As you can see in picture 3, attached, they are currently doing some site grading and development work close to the
entrance, and I didn’t want the sign to be in the way or get knocked down. I decided to post it a little further south, near
the Jackson’s Grant sign.
Please let me know if you’d like for me to move it or if this is okay. Thanks!

Hi, Alexia.
Regarding the public notice sign for Exmoor, because this neighborhood is not really next to any completed public roads
yet, would you be okay with me posting the sign next to where the main entrance is off of Springmill Road? This
attached aerial shows where I’d like to post the sign, in blue. The aerial doesn’t show it, but the actual streets have
been mostly completed, however there are orange construction barrels to keep people from driving back into the
development. I’d like to post the sign here so that it is oriented for north-south traffic to read it. Is that acceptable, or
do you want me to place it somewhere else?
Thanks!
