Subject: Opposed to re-zoning in Jackson's Grant
Dear Joe:
My family lives in Spring Lake Estates, across Spring Mill Road from the Jackson’s Grant neighborhood, and I am writing
to convey that we also oppose the re-zoning of the area in Jackson’s Grant from residential to commercial. There is
th
plenty of commercial use already at 116 and Spring Mill/Illinois/Meridian. As a result, the roundabouts are heavily
congested and we see accidents and near-accidents in them regularly. It would be nice to be able to walk or ride bikes
th
to the shops and restaurants at 116 with our two young children but because the roundabouts are so heavily
congested with drivers who seem unfamiliar, it is unsafe to do so. Adding even more commercial use to that exact same
intersection will only make it worse.
I hope you will please share with the Carmel Plan Commission Members.

Thank you,
Molly Czernik
