CONTROLNOTES:
1. PROVIDE PROJECT SPEqFIC CONTROL SVSTEM MANUAL FOR THE BUILDING. THE MANUAL SHALL
CONTAIN A DIAGRAM OF THE CONTROL SVSTEM ARCHITECTURE, W IRWG DIAGRAMS AND A SEQUENCE
OF OPERATION. THE MANUAL SHALLALSO INCLU�E AN 11 X 11 FLOOR PLAN INDICATING THE MAJOR
EpUIPMENT AND PANEL LOCATIONS. THE MANUAL SHALL BE BOUND IN A HARD BACK 3 RING BINDER
WITH DIVIDERS. BINDER SHALL BE LABELED "H V AL TEMPERATURE CONTROL MANUAC' AND INCLUDE
THE PROJECT NAME AS W ELL AS THE BUILDING NAME, NUMBER ANO ADDRE55.
2. LABEL ALL CONTROL PANELS, ACTUATORS, SENSORS, ETC WITH 1I8" THICK PLASTIC LAMINATE SIGNS.
SEE DRAW INGS FOR LABEL AND LETTERING REQUIREMENTS. LABEL DESIGNATIONS SHALL BE
CONSISTENT WITH THE DRAWINGS, TEMPERATURE CONTROL SVSTEM MANUAL AND DIAGRAMS.
3. MOUNT WALL MOUNTED THERMOSTATS, TEMPERATURE SENSORS AND CARBON MONOXIOE SENSORS
4'-0" ABOVE FINISH FLOOR. DO NOT MOUNT THERMOSTATS OR TEMPERATURE SENSORS IN DIRECT
SUNLIGHT OR NEAR HEAT PRODUqNG E�UIPMENT.
4. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL MOTOR STARTERS AND �ISCONNECT SW ITCHES
FOR H.V.A.G EQUIPMENT UNLESS THEV ARE INCLUDED W ITH THE EQUIPMENT AS INDICATED ON THE
DRAW INGS AND IN THE SPEQFICATIONS. COOR�INATE STARTER REQl11REMENTS WITH THE
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR AND THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO ORDERING.
S WHERE AUXILIARV CONTACTS ARE REQUIRED IN STARTERS PROVIDED BV THE ELECTRICAL
CONTRACTOR, THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE THE QUANTITV AND TVPE OF

6. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE CIRCUIT BREAKERS IN THE ELECTRICAL PANELS THAT
ARE SPECIFlCALLV DEDICATED FOR THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL SVSTEM. COORDINATE THE
QUANTITV AND SRES WITH THE CONTRACTOR. SEE ELECTRICAL DRAW INGS FOR LOCATION.

VOLTAGE (24 VOLTS OR LESS) CONTROL W IRING DOES NOT REQUIRE TO BE INSTALLED IN CONDUIT.

CONTROL SVSTEM REQUIREMENTS WITH THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE
OR INSTALLATION OF ANV OF THE ELECTRICAL POWER OR TEMPERATURE CONTROL SVSTEM
COMPONENT.
10. ALL DAMPERS ON THE MLET OR OUTLET OF THE FAN SHALL BE OPEN PRIOR TO STARTING THE FAN.
PROVIDE ANV TIME DELAVS OR END SWITCHES AS REQUIRED.
11. IN PUBLIC AREAS PROVIDE CLEAR PLASTIC VENTED IMPACT RESISTANT LOCKABLE GUARDS ON ALL
WALL MOUNTED THERMOSTATS OR SENSORS WITH ADJUSTABLE SET-POINTS.
IDENTIFICATION:
1. PROVIDE PLASTIC LAMINATE IDENTIFICATION LABELS ON ALL EQUIPMENT SCHEDULED ON THE
DRAW INGS. THE IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE CONSISTENT WITH THE PLANMARKS SHOWN ON THE
DRAW INGS AND THE BAS SVSTEM USER INTERFACE. SEE DETAILS ON DR4W INGS REGAROING COLOR,
SIZE, TEXT HEIGHT, ETC.

LOCATION, CONDUIT, ETG AS A RESULT OF POOR PLANNING. COOR�INATION OR SCHE�ULING
SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITV OF THE INVOLVEO CONTRACTORS. NOTIFV THE
ARCHITECTIENGINEER OF ANV CONFLICTS PRIOR TO START OF W ORK.
3. THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSBLE FOR THE COORDINATION OF ANY
FRAMING REVISIONS, E�UIPMENT LOCATIONS, ADDITION OF CONTROLS ELECTRICAL CIRCUITING
REVISIONS, ETQ THAT RESULT FROM US WG EQUIPMENT OTHER THAN THOSE INDICATED ON
THE DRAW INGS. APPROVAL OF THE SHOP DRAW INGS BV THE ARCHITECT/ENGINEER W ILL NOT
WANE THE CONTRACTOR OF THIS RESPONSIBILITV.
4. THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE THE FINAL RESPONSIBILITV FOR SVSTEM START
UP, TRAINING, WARRANTV AND TURN OVER TO THE OWNER. THE WNTRACTOR SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR INSTRUCTING THE OWNER ON ANV ROUTME MAINTENANCE REQUIRED
DURING THE WARRANTV PERIOD.
5. ALL ITEMS INCLUDED ON THESE DRAWINGS AND THE SPEGFlCATIONS SHALL BE INCLUDED IN
THE CONTRACTORS BIO. ANV ITEMS THAT ARE UNCLEAR OR FOUND TO BE MCORRECT BV THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECTIENG WEER PRIOR TO
THE BID DUE DATE EXCWSIONS OF WORK FROM THE BID ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
6. ALL WORK INDICATED ON THE MECHANICAL DRAW INGS SHALL BE PROVIDED BV THE
MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR UNLESS SPECIFlCALLY NOTED OTHERW ISE.
7. THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL FIRESTOPPING FOR DUCT AND PIPE
PENETRATIONS THAT PENETRATE FlRE RATED ASSEMBLIES. SEE ARCHITECTURAL DRAW INGS
OR REFER TO THE O W NERS RECORD DR4W INGS FOR LOCATIONS OF FIRE RATED ASSEMBLIES.
ALL FLOOR PENETRATIONS SHALL BE FlRESTOPPED AND SEALED WATER TIGHT WITH A FLEXIBLE
SEALANT. INSTALL PER MFG. RECOMMENDATIONS.
8. THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ANV ROOF PATCH WG FOR ANV
MECHANICAL ROOF PENETRATIONS NOT SPEqRCALLV I�ENTIRED ON THE ARCHITECTURAL
DRAW INGS. ALL PATCHING SHALL BE PROVIDED BV GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND BE
