Only one building may mnnect to the sewer main per lateral unless offierwise approved by TriCo. 2. Foundationdrains,sumpdrains,downspoutsandotherstormwaterdrainsshallneverberonneo[edtothe sanitary sewer. Site dewa[ering systems shall never be discharged m the sanitary sewer. 3. The euisting sewer line from the building to the septic tank may only be reused if it is located under a building addition, patio, porch or paved driveway, and the line passes an air test that is observed by TriCo. Contact TriCo for more information about air testing requirements. The property owner is responsible for testing wsts. 4. TriCo shall inspect all new laterals or laceral repairs In their entire[y. Final mnnection to ffie sanitary sewer must be observed by Trim. The property owner or contractor must notify 7riCo prior to backfilling. Inspections must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advanw. If an inspection fails and wbsequent inspections are required, or'rf the mntracmr is not on site for the scheduled inspeRion, a$100 fee will be assessed and must be paid prior to schetlulingthe reinspection. 5. Septic rystem rontents or effluent shall never be dischargetl to the sanitary sewer. Be advised that your munty health department regulates septic systems. Upon connection ro sanitary sewer, a septic tank must typically be abandoned, pumped clean, and filled completely with earthen material. Contact your counry heakh department for more information on septic system and abandonment requirements, and to notify the department of any abandonment. 6. For gravity and low-pressure rystems, the line leaving the building shall not exceed 3' in length before a deanout must be added and the line is transitioned to 6" diameter SDR 35 PVC pipe. Glued joints are not allowed after 3'. No atlditional glued flttings are allowed 6etween the building and the transition/deanouL For all graviry lines, deanouts shall not be spaced more than 300' apart between the building and the sewer main. See TriCo's standard drawings for more information on deanout installation, 8. Bedding material shall be placed from at least 6 inches below to 12 inches above the pipe surface. The trench shall be a minimum of 18" wide with at least 6" of dearance on boM sides of the pipe. Marerial shall be placed over the pipe and tracer wire after inspectian. Saft, unstable ar unsuitable material found below and near ffie lateral, induding any fill ar foundation backfill material, must be removed and replared with k8 stone. The mntraomr is solely responsible for establishing stable pipe 6edding mnditions. 9. H10-AWG solitl copper tracer wire shall be laid on rop of and run ihe entire length of ihe lateral. All splicing of tracer wire shall use 3M splice kit motlel DBR/V-6, King Innovation Drymnn Direct Bury Wg Aqua catalog #90220, or TriCo approved equal. 30. Laterals shall be installed at least 20' from water wells unless PVC pressure grade pipe is used. Any proposed installation requiring pressure pipe shall be reviewed by TriCo prior to installation. Where a transition is made between SDR 35 pipe and pressure grade SDR 21 pipe, a ductile iron gasketed mechanical muplings must be used. 1L Laterals less than 5' deep shall be at least 24" from the propercy line. Laterals more than S deep shall be at least 36" fmm the property line. Where the lateral run5 in dose pmximity to the pmperty line the pmperty romers must be aocurately staked 6y a pmfessional land surveyor prior to inspectbn. 12. Laterals running parallel to a building or struc[ure shall be at least 36" trom the face of a crawl space or slab on grade foundation and 60" trom [he face of a basement toundation wall.5pacing requirements also apply with respect to the ancillary sbucture's foundation depth. Ancillary strucmres (e.g. window wells) and other utilities shall not be placed over or near the lateral. TriCo may adjust requirements where future amess to the lateral may be obstructed by other utilities. The mn[ractor should call to diswss further if he/she believes this muld be an issue. 13. All infrastructure connected to TriCo's sewer syscem may be resred, inspec[ed, or televised at TriCo's discretion, and must remain accessible and properly maintained. 14. DISTRICT REVISED 3A/20U7 Slandard apecifications of Clay Township Regional Waste District (the District) and Dcpartment of Transportation QNDOT) shall apply for all work and matcrials. Sanitary sewerpipe shall be installed in accordance with Section 715 ofthe current INDOT standard specifications handbook. Sanitary sewer grevity pipe, unless pressure reled pipe required per IAC or direc[ional dnlled pipe, shall be Polyviuyt Chloeide (PVC) in accorda�ce with ASTM D3034-89 with a minimum wall thick�ess designation of SDR 35 nnd ins[alled pee ASTM D2321-89 specificatioa PVCpipcusedshallbegroovedbell,spigoCend,andgasketed.
