The standards to be updated include front yard and side yard setbacks so that the homes can be set closer together with connecting front yard and side yard walls. These walls will create unique front courtyards similar to what exists in areas of old-world Europe. In addition, the updates would allow for the construction of unique carriage garages in common areas with second floor ancillary uses for Exmoor homeowners. These carriage garages will be designed with European architectural character to compliment the homes within Exmoor. The homes to be built in Exmoor will be custom in design, European in character and targeting the high-end empty nester market. Exmoor’s single-family homes are expected to range from $800,000 to $1.5 million with an estimated average of $1 million. The carriage garages are expected to range from $60,000 to $125,000 for each single garage, with an estimated average of $90,000. If approved, Republic intends to begin construction later this year. Enclosed, please find copies of the aerial location map, concept plan, illustrative home and garage renderings, and the notice of public hearing. If you have any questions or comments regarding this request prior to the hearing, please feel free to contact me at mark.leach@faegredrinker.com. Thank you for your consideration. Senior Savion Bias had been cast as The Wolf in “Into the Woods.” In 2019, he played La Cienega in the school’s musical “Bring It On.” He performed in the Ambassadors his final two years. “Obviously, it was very disappointing that the musical was canceled, especially for many of my friends who were cast in their first lead roles,” Bias said. “I was the most disappointed that Ambassadors lost our last couple of performances, including our last competition, the Legacy Concert, and the spring concert. Losing the final competition was particularly disheartening for me because it was going to be a great final send-off for the competition set and the seniors, but there isn’t much you can do when people’s safety is involved.” Bias, who hasn’t yet made a college deci- sion, doesn’t plan to major in music. However, he wants to get involved in collegiate groups. CHS seniors miss final musical STAGE By Mark Ambrogi mark@youarecurrent.com Carmel High School senior Elie Anania had been looking forward to taking the stage for the school musical, “Into the Woods.” “‘Little Red Riding Hood’ has always been a dream role of mine, and ‘Into the Woods’ is one of my favor- ites,” Anania said. The musical, like all school activities, was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The musical had been slated for May 14-16. “When school got canceled for the first time when we were supposed to return after spring break, I was really hopeful that everything would get figured out in time so we could make up for the lost time and still be able to do the musical,” Anania said of the initial March 16 decision to close school. “When I got the email that the show was canceled, that was the first time I really cried since being out of school. “Suddenly, everything became so real, and that’s when I realized I was most likely done with my senior year.” The Ambassadors were having a suc- cessful competition season before the final competition was canceled. “Of course, I wish it wasn’t cut short be- cause we were such a fun and talented group, but I wouldn’t trade the memories I made this year for anything,” Anania said. “Once social distancing is lifted, hopefully we can get together and do our end-of-the-year ac- tivities to close out a great year, and possibly do our competition show one more time. The Anania Bias “Carmel Indy Properties, LLC, is submitting a Notice of Intent to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management of our intent to comply with the requirements under 327 IAC 15-5 to discharge storm water from construction activities associated with the North Geico Parking Expansion located at 101 W 103rd St in Carmel, IN.
