GENERAL DEMOLITION NOTES:
1. THESE DRAWMGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC ONLY AND ARE TO BE USED AS A GUIDELME ONLY
FOR THE SCOPE OF DEMOLITION WORN. THE WNTRACTOR SHALL V51T THE PROJECT
SRE DURING THE BID PHASE TO VERIFY THE ExACT WNDITIONS AN� SCOPE OF WORK
REQUIRED FOR A COIAPLEiE AND MCLUSIVE DEMOLITION PACKAGE.
2. THE WNTRACTOR SHALL BE HELD i0 HAVE ExAIAMED THE PREMISES AND SRE SO AS
TO COIAPARE THEM WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND TO HAVE SATISFlED HIIASELF
AS TO iHE CONDITIONS OF THE PREMISES, THE SITE, ANY OBSTRUCTIONS. THE ACTUAL
LEVELS, ACCESS PANELS, AND ALL OiHER ExISTMG CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS IN THE FlELD, SHALL CHECK LOCATION OF AND
WNNECTION TO EXISTING FAQLITIES, AND SHALL ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILIN FOR SAME.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COOR�INATE WITH THE TENANT AND/OR BUILDING IAANAGEMENT
ALL IMERRUPTION OF ELECTRICAL SERVICES WITHIN THE TENANT SPACE AND/OR
BUILDMG.
4. ALL E%ISTING LUMINAIRES AND ASSOQATED CONTROLS, ELECiRICAL EQUIPMENT, WIRING
DEVICES. FlRE AIARM DEVICES, EiC. NOT INDICATED ON THIS PLAN SHALL BE ENISTING
TO REMNN, UNLE55 SPEQFlCALLY NOTED OTHERWISE.
5. FOR ALL RENOVATION/REMODELMG WORK, INCLUDMG ALL AREAS OF NO OR MINIMAL
WORK, EXISiING ELECiRICAL SERVICES SHALL BE IAAINTAWED TO LUMINAIRES, EQUIPIAENT,
WIRING DEVICES, EiC. (POWER, LIGHTMG, ETC.), iHAT ARE REQUIRED TO BE IAAINTAWED.
THE CONiRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO MAINTAIN THESE SERVICES, EQUIPMENT,
WIRING DEVICES THAT ARE E%ISTMG TO REMAIN, WHETHER OR NOT INDICATED ON THE
PUNS.
6. DISCONNECT AND REIAOVE ALL ENISTING ELECTRICAL EQUIPA�ENT, WIRING DEVICES,
TELECOM DEVICES, BIANK COVER PLATES, ETC. LOCATED IN WALLS/PARTITION$ IABELED
AS 'TO BE REIAOVED". REIAWE ALL EKISTING BRANCH CIRCUITING (WNDUCTORS AND
WNDUIT) BACK TO IAST ACTNE DEVICE (OR SOURCE IF NO ACTNE DEVICES REMAIN).
7. ALL ELECTRICAL LUTAINAIRES, EQUIPMENi, WIRING DEVICES, TELECOMMUNICATIONS
VOICE/DATA CABLING ETC. SHALL BE REA�OVED COMPLETE, BACK TO SOURCE,
(PANELBOARD, TERMINAL BOARDS, ETC.), INCLUDING ALL BRANCH qRWITMG,
(CONDUCTORS AND CONDUIT), FEEDERS, SUPPORTS, JUNCTION BOXES, PULL BOXES, ETC.
8. MAINiAIN OR PROVIDE TEMPORARY ELECTRICAL SERVICES. SUCH A$ LIGHiING AND POWER
IN ALL AREAS OF DEIAOLITION AND SURROUNDING AREAS NOT IN �EMOLITION.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WRH THE ARCHRECTURAL, MECHANICAL HVAC, AND
PLUMBING DEIAOLITION DRAWINGS FOR ALL EQUIPMENT BEING DEMOLSHED, AND SHALL
DISCONNECT AND REIAWE COIAPLETE THE ELECTRICAL SERVICES TO ALL EQUIPMENT AND
WIRING DEVICES.
10. EQUIPMENT AND WIRING DEVICES INDICATED AS 'KR", (EXISTING TO BE RELOCATED),
SHALL BE STORED FOR RE—USE AS INDICATED "XN", (NEW LOCATION OF ENISTING
RELOCAiED DEVICE), ON NEW PIAN DRAWINGS. DEVICES SHALL BE CLEANED,
LUMINNRES RE—IAMPED PER SPEQFlCATIONS, AND BALLAST REPIACED WHERE FOUND TO
BE INOPERABLE.
iL ERISTING FlRE AURM DEVICES THAT ARE 'RM", (ERISTING TO REA�AIN), SHALL BE
PROTECiED FROM CONSTRUCTION DAMAGE AND DIRT. THE FlRE ALARIA SYSTEM SHALL
BE KEPT OPERABLE DURING CONSTRUCTION.
12. ANY CIRWITS FEEDING THROUGH EQUIPMENT OR DEVICES THAT ARE BEING DEMOLISHED,
REWORKED, OR RELOCATED, AND FEEDING OTHER EQUIPMENT/DEVICES THAT REMAIN ARE
TO BE MAINTAMED.
13. ALL CUTTING AND PATCHING OF WALLS, CEILINGS, OR FLOORS iHAT ARE DISiURBED BY
DEIAOLITION SHALL BE REiURNED i0 THEIR ORIGINAL WNDITION. REFER TO THE
ARCHRECTURAL DOWMENT$ FOR EKACT SPECIFlCATION REQUIREMENTS. PATCH FLOOR
TO ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION SPEQFlCATIONS AND U.L FlRE RATMG LISiINGS FOR ALL
FLOOR IAOUMED DEVICES SUCH AS FLOOR BOXES, (FlRE RATED) POKE—iHR0UGH5, ETC.
WHICH HAVE BEEN REMOVED.
