B. THIS CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVI�E ALL IABOR, EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES,

ACCOR�ANCE WITH THIS SPECIFICATION AND APPLICABLE �RAWINGS. ANY
�EVIATIONS SHALL BE CLFARLY DEFINED AND ITEMRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH

C. THIS CONTRACTOR IS INSTRUCTE� TO READ CARENLLY THE SPECIFICATIONS

ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, PWMBING, FIRE PROTECTION, CIVIL, STRUCTURAL

2 PERMITS, CO�ES, INSPECTIONS AND TES7S
A. THE HVAC CONTRACTOR SHALL SECURE AND PAY FOR ALL PERMITS AN�
INSPECTIONS REQUIRED FOR THE PROSECUTION OF HVAC WORK. ALL
PERMITS AN� CERTIFICATES OF INSPECTION AN� APPROVAL SIGNE� BY THE
CONTROLLING BUILDING DEPARTMENT SHALL BECOME PROPERiY OF THE
OWNER
B. �RAWINGS INDICATE THE MINIMUM �ESIGN REQUIREMENTS. NATIONAL, STATE,
AND LOCAL CODES SHALL BE FOLLOWE�, COMPLY WITH THE IATEST E�ITIONS
OF THE STATE MECHANICAL CO�E, NFPA, SMACNA, AND ASHRAE STAN�ARDS.
THE WNTRACTOR SHALL INCLU�E THE COST OF SATISFYING SUCH CO�ES
AND STANDAR�S IN THE BID.
C. FOLLOWING COMPLEfION OF THE HVAC WORK, FURNISH TO THE OWNER, IN
�UPLICATE, CERTIFICATES OF INSPECTION AN� APPROVAL BY REGUTATORY
AGENCIES HAVING JURISDICTION.
(1) �EMONSTRATE TO THE OWNER'S SATISFACTION THE PROPER OPERATION
OF EACH OF 7HE SYSTEMS COMPRISING THIS COMRACT BEFORE FlNAL
PAYMENT.
(2) IIAMEDIATELY CORRECT ANY WORK FOUND AT VARIANCE WITH THESE
SPEQFlCATIONS, THE NATIONAL, STATE, AND LOCAL WDES, AND
REQUIREMENTS OF GOVERNING REGUU+TORY AGENCIES.
(3) TEST PIPING FOR LEAKS: REPAIR LEAKS IN COPPER TUBING BY
SWEATING OUT JOINT; THOROUGHLY CLEANING BOTH TUBE AND FITfING,
AND RESOLDERING. CORRECT LEAKS IN SCREWED JOINT BY REPLACING
THREAD OR FITfING OR BOTH.
(4) PROVIOE SERNCES OF A CERTIFIEO A.A.B.C. OR N.E.E.B. TEST AGENCY.
CONOUCT ALL TESTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASSOCIATE� AIR BAIANCE
COUNCIL STANDAR�S. IEST AN� A�JUST AIR HAN�LING SYSTEM TO
WITHIN 59 OF �ESIGN REQUIREMENTS.
3. VISIT TO THE SIiE
A. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NSIT THE SITE OF THE WORK AN� BECOME FAMWAR
WITH ALL CON�ITIONS AFFECTING THE WORK. THE SUBMISSION OF A
PROPOSAL SHALL PRESUPPOSE KNOWLE�GE OF ALL SUCH CON�ITIONS AN�
NO AD�ITIONAL COMPENSAiION SHALL BE ALLOWE� WHERE EX�RA LABOR OR
MATERIALS ARE REQUIRE� BECAUSE OF IGNORANCE OF THESE WNDIiIONS..
4.PROTECTION
A. THE HVAC CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY PROTECiION FROM
�IRT AN� WATER DURING WNSTRUCTION NECESSITATEO BY HVAC WORK.
PROTECTION MEfHO�S ARE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE ARCHITECT.
S.EQUIPMENT AND MAiERIALS
A. ALL EQUIPMENT AN� MATERIALS SHALL BE NEW AND SHALL CONFORM TO
UNDERWRRERS' LABORATORIES STANDARDS, WHERE APPLICABLE WHERE
SPEQFlCATIONS DESCRIBE, OR PlANS SHOW, MATERIALS OR EOUIPIAENT OF
HIGHER QUALIN THAN REQUIRED BY CODE AND LOCAL RULMG, THE
DRAWINGS AND SPEQFlCATIONS SHALL GOVERN THE �UALIiY OF THE

A. THE HVAC CONTRACTOR SHALL GUARANTEE FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR
THAT ALL WORK AN� EQUIPMENT WILL REMAW FREE FROIA ALL DEFECTS IN
WORKMANSHIP AND IAATERIALS, AN� THAT IT WILL COMPLY WITH ALL THE
SPECIFlC REOl11REMEMS OF THE SPECIFlCATIONS AND OiHER WNTRACT
�OCOMENTS GOVERNING THE WORK.
B. ALL WORK FOUND BY THE ENGMEER TO BE �EFECTIVE WILL BE REPLACE�
WITH NEW WORK MEEfING ALL THE REOUIREMEMS OF THE CONTRACT. THE
