• Pressure treated glulam beams are produced
with durable, waterproof adhesives suitable for
applications where the beam will be exposed
to weather, insects, sunlight and high moisture
conditions.
• Pressure treatment is a process of infusing
preservative chemicals to increase resistance to
decay and does not affect the structural integrity
of the beam.
• The pressure treatment process may cause
checking and raised grain as the beam dries.
These are visual imperfections and do not affect
the strength of the glulam.
