Dear Mr. Leach:
At the virtual meeting held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took
the following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) requests filed by you for the property
located at 12166 N. Meridian Street.
APPROVED: Carmel Medical Arts Pavilion Variances
• Docket No. PZ-2020-00052 V: Foundation Plantings on all four sides of building base required, two sides
granted.
• Docket No. PZ-2020-00053 V: Off Premise Ground Sign granted along Illinois St.
• Docket No. PZ-2020-00054 V: Number of Ground Signs along Illinois St. (Ritz Charles complex); 3
existing, 1 additional granted.
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the
improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must
have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is May 26, 2023.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
