7.2 SPECIAL INSPECTIONS
A. THE CONTRACTOR W ILL ENGAGE ONE OR MORE SPECIAL INSPECTORS W HO SHALL PROVIDE WSPECTIONS AND
MATERIALS TESTING �URING CONSTRUCTION. ALL SPECIAL INSPECTIONS AND TESTING SHALL CONFORM TO
THE REQUIREMENTS OF SPEC 014100 AND THE CODES LISTE� IN SECTION 1.1.
B. SPECIAL WSPECTIONS ARE IN ADDITION TO THE INSPECTIONS CONOUCTED BV THE LOCAL BUILDING OFFICIAL.
SPECIAL INSPECTIONS SHALL NOT RELIEVE THE OWNER AND CONTRACTOR FROM REQUESTING THE BUILDING
OFRCIACS INSPECTIONS REQUIRED BV BC SECTION 110.
G SPECIAL INSPECTORS SHALL BE GNEN PROPER NOTICE AND ACCESS TO THE SITE TO PERFORM TESTING AND
INSPECTION AS NECESSARY.

CONTRACTDOCUMENTS.
2. THE SPECIAL INSPECTOR SHALL NOT AUTHORIZE OR APPROVE DEVIATIONS FROM THE CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS. ALL �EVIATIONS FROM THE CONTRACT �OCUMENTS MUST BE INITIATED BY THE
CONTRACTOR VIA A W RITTEN RE�UEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) AND APPROVE� BV THE ENGINEER OF
RECORD PRIOR TO PROCEEDING W ITH THE WORK.
3. THE SPECIAL MSPECTOR SHALL FURNISH WRITTEN INSPECTION REPORTS TO THE ENGWEER OF
