Perhaps you can answer the question I pose at the end of my message. John Dear Alan, Thank you for bringing forward most of my concerns regarding the Nature Reserve that Jackson Grant Village proposes to include. I have spoken with Larry Moon regarding what I consider some helpful information that could save them thousands of dollars and he referred me to his landscape manager who has not contacted me in almost a week. By experience (difficult and costly) we learned much from consultants from Purdue about drainage and plant issues at the LDS temple site over the last 5 years. Apparently, they are too busy or not interested to respond back. Oh well. I agree with your dissenting vote last week. Not because of previous historical “promises” regarding commercial development west of Spring Mill but rather, experience in life has taught me that there are no sure guarantees of success when moving into unchartered territory as we are now in. I was disappointed that Richard Arnos did not grasp the opportunity to have a backup plan for the commercial side should it prove to be more difficult to sustain over the next 2-5 years. Presenting a positive face is important but so is being practical and planning well for the uncertain future. Too often the HOA or the city is left holding the bag because developers are in a hurry to make their profit and leave town so to speak. If you know who the landscape manager for Republic is (I didn’t catch the name) I would be grateful to receive that information so I can make one last try to speak to him and his company before the upcoming board meeting. Thanks for your support, John Chipman 1
