PERMANENT STABILIZATION AND RESTORATION SPECIFICATIONS
General
Construction operations shall be carried out in such a manner and sequence that
erosion ond water pollution will be minimized and held within acceptable limits.
The completed project shall present a workmanllke appearance and conform to
the line, grade and cross section of the project plans. All trees, stumps, brush
and similar materials are to be removed fram the site or disposed of in such a
way as to have the least detrimental effect on the environment.
Veqetative Establishment
Vegetation will be established on all disturbed areas. Disturbed areas are to be
seeded as soon as possible and as described in the construction sequence on
��11$ S�lE2�.
Maintenance
AIl seeded lawns shall be maintained for 60 days following final inspection by landscape architect
after written request (ram lhe conlractor. Mainlenance to include walering, weeding, cultiwting,
mulching, mowing ond all other necessary operotions required for proper establishment of Iawns.
Seedina
Topsoil shall be de-wmpacted to a depth of 6 inches and prepared in order to ensure a
sufficient planting medium. Select a seed mixture based on the spe<ifimtlons far permanent
seed. Apply 9 pounds of 12-0-12 fertilizer per 1000 sq. ft. in lown filter strip oreo ONLY. Do
not apply fertilizer in areas la receive Nafive Seed. Seed shall be applied with mechanical
spreader or seed drill at rates spe<ified per acre. Apply seed 1/2 one dlrection and 1/2
perpendicular lo lhe first Gghtly rake and roll with 200 Ib. roller. Apply hydromulch, straw mulch
or erosion control blonket as specified on plons.

lJnless otherwise specified, erasian control 6lanket shall be installed as specified an the plans.
Woad Fiber Hydromulcher. If approved by City Engineer, wood fiber hydromulch may be applied.
Apply wood fber at al rate of 1 ton�acre. Apply with a hydromWcher with tacking agent used
according to manufacWrer's recammendations.
