APPLICABLE CODES AND ORDINANCES:
Provide all materials antl equipment and perform all labor requiretl to install
complete antl operable mechanical systems as indica[etl on the tlrawings, as
specified and as requiretl by code.
Entire installation shall be in sVicl accortlance with applicable codes antl
ortlinances.
Secure antl pay tor all requiretl permits.
Provitle a minimum of 10'-0" between exhaus[ outlets, plumbing vents antl all
ou�side air in�akes.

GENERAL:

to the long lerm operation of Ihe HVAC system. Pmvitle temporary heating or

These tlrewings indicate requiretl sizes antl points of termination for piping,
tluctwork, conduit, etc. The equipment shown illushates suggested routing, but all
necessary of(se�s and fi�tings may no� be shown. Contrac�or shall ins�all his work
in a manner [hat will con�orm wi�h the s�mcWre. ConVactor shall avoid
obs�mdions, preserve heatl mom and main�ain maximum clearance wi�hout
atltlitional cost lo the Owner.
All tlimensions shown on [hese plans are in feet and/or inches unless otherwise

Loca�ions antl sires of all flooq wall, antl roo! openinqs shall be coordina�ed wi�h
all other Vatles.
All openings in fire walls due to dudwork, piping, conduit, etc., shall be flre
s�opped wi�h a produc� similar �0 3M or equal. Produq shall be lisled by UL or FM
and meet the requirements ot local and state cotles.
Refer to typical details tor ducheork and equipment installation.
Fumish and Install all equipment and material required to complete the installation
as shown on the drawings.
Equipmenl sizes, weiqh�s, poweq geome�ry antl service space requiremen�s may
vary between difterent Manufacturers. Consult approved Manufacturer tlrawings
as submitled and coordinate with these drawings. It shall be the Contractor's
responsiblliry to bear the costs associated with this coordlnation.
Locate all mechanical equipment (wall heaters, exhaust fans, eta) for
unobstmctetl access to unil access panels. controls, and valving.

HVAC/SHEETMETAL:
Wr�ain items such as rises antl tlmps in tluctwork. access tloors. volume

specific location requirement antl shall not be interpretetl as the exlent of [he
requirements for these items.
All ducWork tlimensions, as shown on the tlrawings. are internal clear
tlimensions.
Keep all tluctwork. tluct system and equipment openings coveretl wi[h atlhesive
tluct pmtective wrap like VenWreTape 1512, until system starl-up. This is to
prevent intmsion o! constmc[ion tlitl antl tlebris into �he tluc� sys[em, antl HVHC
equipment.
Provide flexible connections in all tluctwork systems (exhaust) connected to air
fans, and o�her equipmen� which require vibre�ion isola�ion. Flexible connec�ions
shall be pmvitletl at the point o! connec[ion �o the equipmen� unless olherwise
noted.
Unless o�herwise no�etl, all dudwork is overhead. �iqh� �o �he underside of �he
sVucWre, with space �or insulation.
Runs o! flexible duct shall not exceetl 5'-0". Flexible tlucl shall not be usetl as an

All ductwork shall be coordinated wilh all hatles involved. Otfsets in tlucts,

Provide access tloors in tluctwork lo provide access for all smoke tletectors, fire
tlampers, smoke dampers, volume tlampers, humitlitiers. coils. and o�her i�ems

Provitle companion opposetl blatle volume dampers with all tliflusers moun�etl in
tlrywall ceilings. Do not pmvide companion volume dampers with diHusers
mountetl in lay-in tile ceilings. Pmvitle manual volume dampers in the branch
tluc�s serving difNsers loca�ed above lay-in �ile ceilings.
�iffusers, registers, and grilles mounted in tlrywall ceilings shall have plaster
frames.

Phenollc duct by PaLDuct or Kool�Duct Is an acceptable alternative to sheeMetal

Unless otherwise noted all low voltage wiring (24 volts) shall be provided and
