Please exercise caution and Do Not open attachments or click links from unknown senders or unexpected email. **** Dear Mr. Shestak, I have been a resident in the Village of West Clay for over 8 years and am a local business owner. I am saddened beyond words to hear of the gas station that will be built a block from my front door. Can you imagine? In the past two years alone, we have made needed improvements of over $100,000 within our home. I moved here to have a forever home - dying here - and now I feel the beauty that I have cultivated in my home, garden, and community is fully threatened because of a gas station. This approval is a violation of our basic rights, as this is another example of abuse of power. Our HOA stated they have 'approval' from residents to clear the path for the build. However, my neighbors and I did not know about this and would certainly never approve such a measure. I now see how our HOA shared the information, and it is backhanded, 15 year old information, and hidden among other proposals. Again. Abuse. The traffic, the eye-sore, and namely the pollution from additional vehicles and waste run-off would be detrimental to us all, not to mention the three ponds near the build-site. I would like to see the Village be an example community for nature conservatory, not this. This is my home and please protect us by stopping this build. Thank you for your time.
