Dear Joe Shestak,
I am the proud owner of the Primrose School at WestClay. Over the last 13 years, we have proudly served the
community and claimed the village as our home. We love the families and children that we service here and want what
is best for their health and also the continued success of our school. Understanding that the gas station has been in the
planned development for many years, I appreciate and respect the previous decision. However, now that we have new
knowledge and research which proves gas stations near homes and schools can be detrimental to the health of those
individuals. Please know that while we would enjoy some of the perks of having a gas station close, it is not worth the
negative ramifications! As the owner, I am also concerned that this would have a negative impact on the financial
stability of my school. I am fearful that many would chose to not have their children attend our school due to the health
risks of having a close gas station. With all this said, I am respectfully requesting that you please reconsider this! For the
health of our students, families, and our school, please find a new location that is not near a school, assisted living or
homes.
Sincerely,
Julia Bowman
