Dear Joe
I am writing this letter to you regarding the proposed variance on building a convenience
store with a gas station in town and 131st St in the Village of West Clay.
As a homeowner on the west side of the neighborhood I am strongly opposing he
variance. The neighbors living in close proximity to the gas station will surely be negatively
affected in terms of safety, health and home values for the years to come.
We do not need a gas station in our neighborhood as there are quite a few grocery store
and gas stations nearby, especially we do not need a gas station that is so close to home.
Many environmental studies prove the long term adverse impact of a gas station on
residents living in its proximity. Any variance or previous PUD rulings need to be reviewed
with serious consideration of the quality of life for the residents.
Please say no to the gas station in my neighborhood.
Thank you!
