Regarding “Item 1 – Screw Spacing” of the “Changemark Notes dated Friday, May 29, 2020

Wood Ledger Board Attachment for Project “B-2020-00403 – 5925 Tall Timber Run”, See Home
Improvements desires to have me, Jeff Funkhouser, P.E., witness the attachment of 2x8 wood
ledger boards against the back side of the house with (2) 3/8” x 8” Spax Lag Bolts at 16”
spacing screwed into the wood framing of the house in order to attest that the attached 2x8
wood ledger boards each have the structural capacity to support the building code required
design loads applied to the inner tributary half of the louvered roof system.
Upon witnessing a compliant installation of the 2x8 wood ledger boards in such a manner that
satisfies the structural design load requirements of the 2020 Indiana Residential Building Code I
will provide a stamped letter indicating such.
Let me know if you have any questions.
