Please exercise caution and Do Not open attachments or click links from unknown senders or unexpected email. **** Mr. Joe Shestak I am writing to you regarding the request to rezone the Ambleside Point development to a high density PUD. We live in the Saddle Creek neighborhood and are concerned about the rezoning for a number of reasons: 1. The proposed new entrances through Beaument Blvd and Megan Drive. 2. The lack of planned amenities for the new neighborhood 3. Removing neighborhood green space to create a road According to the information on the Carmel website, we are known as a city that is sustainable, walkable, bike friendly with nearly 200 miles of trails and paths. The request by a developer to remove green space through an existing neighborhood to create a road, the lack of planned walking/biking paths by the developer in order to cram in more housing units does not fit with Carmel’s own vision of the city. The developer’s plan for a high density neighborhood is at the cost of an existing neighborhood. The new development would be using the roads through our residential area to access their homes. As the new development does not have enough green space for the number of homes being built, they would be using amenities paid for by their neighbors. The development should not be re-zoned from an S-1 Residential area . Regards, Shelley Corbett 1
