Ambleside Point Planned Unit

Hi,
I am a resident at 14213 Autumn Woods Dr, Westfield, IN 46074, within the saddle creek community, and writing to you
to strongly object to the rezoning and road planning of the new Ambleside Point Planned Unit development located
behind saddle creek that proposes new roads through saddle creek neighborhood. I am alarmed at the news of the
rezoning of the Ambleside Point Planned Unit development to a much higher density (over 4 times).
One of the proposed roads is even planned to destroy one of the green spaces within saddle creek community cutting
through houses that share the green space. The green space has always been maintained by saddle creek
HOA, and destroying it will have adverse impact on the safety and livability in our neighborhood.
I am also concerned that high density rezoning to high density and development will have an adverse effect on the
property valuation of the houses in saddle creek community.
The traffic volume through our community will increase substantially esp when residents from the new community will
want to travel south and connect to 141st and drive to Indianapolis where the majority of the people are employed. This
will adversely affect the safety, cleanliness of the roads within the community. These roads are also maintained by
saddle creek HOA at the expense of the residents, so it is not fair to allow these roads to open to outside traffic and a
different community.
Again, the proposed development plan also does not show any amenities such as pool, tennis court, walking trails etc for
its residents. So we are apprehensive that the residents of the new community will be forced to utilize Saddle creek
amenities that we pay to maintain.
Ambleside PUD development should be developed as an independent community without any connections to roads of
saddle creek community, it should have its own roads to connect to 146th and 141st, it should have its own green space
and playgrounds that should not encroach into a neighboring community.
I am concerned that allowing the development as currently planned will have a tremendous negative impact on the
property value, maintainability, cleanliness and safety of the saddle creek community. Therefore I am requesting you to
please stop allowing development as currently planned. Before proceeding with the planning, the impact on the
surrounding neighborhoods and green spaces should be carefully and throughfully evaluated.
Thanks,
Pritam Chanda,
Resident at 14213 Autumn Woods Dr. Carmel, IN 46074.
