My family has had the luxury of backing up to that farm since our house was built 20 years ago. We have been afforded the peace and tranquility that it has offered and the abundant wildlife that comes with the territory of a wide open farm field and wooded areas which are home to coyotes and deer to name a few. "Hop Along Henry" - our 3 legged coyote lives there and through the years, we have enjoyed watching him protect his pups. The geese have found refuge in a low area that floods and is within view from our backyard. Occasionally, we are fortunate to see a bald eagle overhead - majestic and proud. It has been amazing. While we knew that eventually the field would be developed and progress would happen, we are glad there are going to be homes there - we were just hoping for a lot less of them. As it is being proposed, the development is trying to cram 250+ properties into just 56 acres. Just doing the quick math it's no wonder why they are proposing so little green space and no amenities for their residents. A traffic study was done - with the result that it would not impact the area or our neighborhood. Problem? It was done while everyone was on the mandatory stay at home order for COVID-19. Now that things are opening back up, I think the results would be drastically different. Can a new study be ordered? Is there anything we can do to stop this development from going forward as it is proposed? Thank you for your time. Nina Murphy 14318 Autumn Woods Drive Carmel, IN 46074 317.442.5066 1
