GENERAL
TOILET AND BATHING ROOMS SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 603.
LOCATION.
THE WATER CLOSET SHALL BE LOCATED WITH A WALL OR PARTITION TO THE
REAR AND TO ONE SIDE. THE CENTERLINE OF THE WATER CLOSET SHALL BE 16
INCHES MINIMUM TO 18 INCHES MAXIMUM FROM THE SIDE WALL OR PARTITION.
HEIGHT.
THE HEIGHT OF THE WATER CLOSET SEATS SHALL BE 17 INCHES MINIMUM AND 19
INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FLOOR, MEASURED TO THE TOP OF THE SEAT.
SEATS SHALL NOT BE SPRUNG TO RETURN TO A LIFTED POSITION.

A CLEAR FLOOR SPACE COMPLYING WITH SECTION 305.3, POSITIONED FOR
FORWARD APPROACH, SHALL BE PROVIDED. KNEE AND TOE CLEARANCES
COMPLYING WITH SECTION 306 SHALL BE PROVIDED. THE DIP OF THE OVERFLOW
SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED IN DETERMINING KNEE AND TOE CLEARANCES.

THE FRONT OF LAVATORIES AND SINKS SHALL BE 34 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE

IN FRONT OF THE WATER CLOSET. THE OUTLET OF THE DISPENSER SHALL BE
15 INCHES MINIMUM AND 48 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FLOOR. THERE SHALL
BE A CLEARANCE OF 1-1/2 INCHES MINIMUM BELOW AND 12 INCHES MAXIMUM

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE TOILET COMPARTMENT DOORS, INCLUDING
DOOR HARDWARE, SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 404. THE DOOR SHALL BE
SELF-CLOSING. A DOOR PULL COMPLYING WITH SECTION 404.2.6 SHALL BE PLACED
ON BOTH SIDES OF THE DOOR NEAR THE LATCH. WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE
TOILET COMPARTMENT DOORS SHALL NOT SWING INTO THE REQUIRED MINIMUM
AREA OF THE COMPARTMENT.

ARCHITECT/ENGINEER WILL BE FOR CONFORMANCE TO GENERAL LAYOUT AND
DESIGN INTENT ONLY. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR
ACCURACY OF DIMENSIONS, FABRICATION, FIT UP OF PARTS AND BILLS OF

°STRUCTURAL TESTS AND INSPECTIONS
ALL TESTS AND INSPECTIONS SHALL BE PERFORMED BY AN INDEPENDENT
TESTING AND INSPECTION AGENCY. THE SPECIAL INSPECTOR SHALL OBSERVE
THE WORK ASSIGNED FOR CONFORMANCE TO THE APPROVED
DESIGN DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
THE SPECIAL INSPECTOR SHALL FURNISH INSPECTION REPORTS TO THE
BUILDING OFFICIAL AND THE ENGINEER OF RECORD OR ARCHITECT OF RECORD.
ALL DISCREPANCIES SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF
THE CONTRACTOR FOR CORRECTION. IF UNCORRECTED, THE SPECIAL
INSPECTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL AND THE ENGINEER OR
ARCHITECT OF RECORD.
THE SPECIAL INSPECTOR SHALL SUBMIT A FINAL REPORT STATING WHETHER
THE WORK REQUIRING SPECIAL INSPECTION WAS IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE
APPROVED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND THE APPLICABLE WORKMANSHIP
PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE.

APPLY PER THE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS AND AS
FOLLOWS: USE BRUSH, ROLLER, OR LOW-PRESSURE SPRAY. FIT
SPRAY EQUIPMENT WITH STAINLESS STEEL OR BRASS FITTINGS AND
GASKETS SUITABLE FOR SOLVENT SOLUTIONS.
