Dear Joe,
Trust you find this email well. I am a resident of Saddle Creek community and we are a family with young kids
that love the outdoors.
Recently we were notified that there is a proposed high density PUD (Ambleside) that has more than 285 lots
north of Saddle Creek. There is apparently a zoning application to:
(a) provide an entrance to this new community cutting through Saddle Creek (through junction of Beaument
Blvd and Mustang Chase\[north of 141st st\]), and,
(b) that the pond on the North side of Mustang Chase be merged with the pond belonging to the new
development.
While I do not necessary oppose the planned PUD - please consider this email as a strong opposition to the
plans (a) and (b) for the following reasons:
1. Green space - There is already a severe lack of green space in the West side of Carmel and this will take
away what is left, which is very important for myself, family and our community.
2. Traffic - If (a) is permitted, with 285 planned units, traffic flowing through our neighborhood will
significantly increase, to the extent that it will start to be unsafe / noisy for pedestrians and kids
enjoying outdoors.
3. Property value - Plans (a) and (b) will significantly reduce the property price in our neighborhood.
We are also advised that the meeting called at Plan Commission, City hall on the evening of July 21st has
limited capacity due to Covid/social distancing limitations.
While my family or myself may not be able to attend this due to the above limitations, please consider this
email as a firm opposition for the proposed items (a) and (b) above.
I am hereby requesting the plan commission to reject (a) and (b) so that Saddle Creek retains its uniqueness
and green space for us and future generations to bring up families and live in a serene community - while
retaining the property values, for which we have paid huge premiums...
