Please exercise caution and Do Not open attachments or click links from unknown senders or unexpected email. **** Dear Mr. Shestak, We ask you to kindly consider our request to deny the proposed variances for the gas station at 131st and Towne Rd. 1. Family Express is asking for a variance in regards to the amount of space required for cars to wait in line. Please do not allow for this reduction in the amount of space. If there is not adequate space to safely wait for a pump, then it is not safe for our neighborhood. We should not have to make allowances that jeopardize the safety of our community. 2. Please do not allow their requested variance to move the gas pumps from behind the building to the front. The Stratford - which is a retirement community - sits right next to the proposed gas station. Allowing this variance would put the project right at the fence line of this retirement community. My family and I are residents in the Village of West Clay. We moved here in 2014 and chose the Village of West Clay because of all the beautiful green space, amenities, and walking/biking accessibility that it had to offer our children. By allowing the proposed variances, we feel that traffic and safety will be compromised. Hundreds of cars will be stopping to fill their cars on a daily basis. Large trucks filled with gasoline will have to fill the gas tanks regularly. Not to mention the air and light pollution that a six bay gas station with at least twelve pumps, convenience store, and car wash will bring to our community. We will no longer feel safe allowing our children to bike or walk to the CVS, Puccini's, or the surrounding area. Please deny the variances. Thank you for your time and consideration, Peter & Jennifer Pang 1
