Please exercise caution and Do Not open attachments or click links from unknown senders or unexpected email. **** It is my understanding that the Carmel Zoning Board is meeting on Aug 24th to discuss altering 2 city ordinances to allow the Family Express gas station, car wash and convenience store to open in the Village of West Clay. As a resident of the Village, I am adamantly opposed to this project! Besides being a terrible eye sore, it will increase traffic, emit toxic vapors, and potentially cause cancer to the surrounding area. This is a quaint, quiet neighborhood. Kids ride bikes and people walk dogs. We don't need this! Get Go at Market District, and Meijer are not far away. Statistics are not in favor of smaller gas stations succeeding given the close proximity to larger ones. And we have already had convenience stores in the Village which have failed. Please pass my opinion along to the Board. Thank you. Janice Potash 1
