I am writing to express my concern about the proposed development of a Family Express gas
station, car wash and convenience store to open in the Village of West Clay. As a resident
of the Village of West Clay, I am very much opposed to this project.
A structure of this size will be a terrible eye sore in the neighborhood. In addition to this, placing a
Gas Station in such close proximity to homes and Primrose School will expose many people to
harmful vapors proven to cause cancer and other health illnesses. This is a very quiet
neighborhood. We don’t need the increased traffic a business like this would bring. We already
had a convenience type store in the village which failed, which I believe may be the fate of the
Family Express Convenience Store if allowed to open.
Please express my opinion to the Carmel Zoning Board at their August, 24th meeting.
Thank You.
