Mr. Shestak
I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed variances associated with the planned gas station at 131st
and Towne.
While the Village of West Clay neighborhood plans have long included a convenience store and (possibly) a
small number of gas pumps, moving the (12) pumps and parking from behind the building to the front is a
significant departure from the residential feel of the area and a threat to our property values. Second, the effect
of reducing the queue space for cars will increase the risk of traffic accidents and place the safety of pedestrians
– many of them children - at risk.
Thank you for considering my request to reject the proposed variances.
