Hello:
We purchased a home in the Village of West Clay in May 2020 in addition to our other residence in Cary, North Carolina. We
are voluntarily returning to the area because we love the quality of life and walkability of the Village of West Clay. We strongly
oppose any proposed development, zoning, or variance which would permit a gas station to be developed in the Village of
West Clay. We're concerned about the health and safety ramifications of placing a gas station with known cancer
causing effects within the neighborhood. Also, the main drawn of the VWC is walkability; a gas station which will
attract a high volume of automobile traffic is completely unacceptable and incompatible with the character of this
development.
We are highly concerned regarding the 4 variance requests, and how allowing them will provide a dangerous
precedent for future development. Our two largest concerns are moving the pumps and parking from behind the
building to the front, and reducing the amount of space required for cars to wait in line. This produces a big hazard
that could impact the traffic and safety of pedestrians.
Please do NOT approve any zoning, variances or development plans for a gas station in the Village of West Clay.
Sincerely,
Erin Brown Mora, Esq.
