Joe,
I 100% oppose the idea of adding a gas station to the Village of West Clay. I am against this for several reasons which
include: safety, health, traffic and bringing unwanted visitors from surrounding areas. When the village was developed
there were not other options for gas/convenience, however today there are 3 gas station within 3 miles of the village
and multiple options for groceries etc.
Every neighbor I have spoken to has voiced the same opposition to this gas station. I implore you to rethink this project
and consider the tax paying, voters and residents of the village that will be negatively impacted. We need to develop
Carmel in a responsible manner and not succumb to a ill planned money grab for a few.
The village will lose residents and property value will be impacted. Please listen to the residents that you’re in position
to serve. DO NOT BUILD THIS GAS STATION; It is not needed or wanted.
Thank you,
Brian Slama
