Please exercise caution and Do Not open attachments or click links from unknown senders or unexpected email. **** Carmel Zoning Board, My wife and I have been residents in the Village of West Clay since 2008. We now also have two of our daughters and their families living in the VWC. We strongly hope that the zoning board will recommend against this large gas station located immediately next to the Stratford. We know a number of residence at the Stratford, some living in those cottages and all are appalled at the idea. We have multiple grandchildren close in that area riding their bikes, going to the pool and playing tennis. I don’t see that scenario anywhere else in Carmel. We are not aware of anything like this in any Carmel neighborhood. It seems so unlike Carmel, whose zoning always seem to represent quality design and fit whatever the project may be. When a large number of us attended a recent board meeting, we were shocked to see the looks on board members faces that they didn’t seem completely aware of what was going on or what actually would be going in this location. We do not feel well represented and it appears that correspondences from a VWC representative may not have accurately represent how a large number of residents feel. We cannot see the benefits, with a number of gas stations located in appropriate locations all around us, versus the negatives from a much more congested area with very bright lights and significant environmental concerns. Well this is not a statistical statement, my family and I have spoken to a large number of residents in the Village as we have seen them at the pool or other social settings. They either knew nothing about it or were very much against it. Not one was for it. We strongly urge the Zoning Board to please consider not approving this proposed gas station. Thank you for your time and service to the city of Carmel. 1 Sincerely, Jim Martzolf To help prot ect www.rd-co.com | Robert Dietrick Co., Inc. your priva cy, … O: 317-842-1991 x 2115 | M: 317-809-0166 To help protect your privacy, Microsoft Office prevented automatic download of this picture from the Internet.
