Re: BZA Docket No. PZ-2020-00060 V: Albany Place Porch Depth Variances
Dear Mr. Phillips:
At the meeting held on Monday, July 27, 2020 the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals took the following action
regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) request filed by you for Lots 4, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19,
22, 24, 29, 36, and 51, located generally in the northeast quadrant of 141st Street and Shelborne Road:
APPROVED: Docket No. PZ-2020-00060 V, Development Standards Variance approvals for: Minimum 6’
deep porches required, 4’ granted for 14 lots.
(Please note that the 17 other existing non-compliant homes/lots will also need to receive approval, where it is by a
PUD Amendment, BZA Variance, or Director’s Determination.)
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the
improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must
have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is July 27, 2023.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
