I have attended many meetings in the past begging for our city to preserve as much natural environmental "solutions to pollution" as possible, and mature trees, natural woods is at the top of the list. Even the brochures in the lobby of City Council Building state very well the importance and value of trees in mitigating air pollution, helping control rain water runoff, providing sound 'barriers', providing habitats for wildlife, and adding beauty to our world and our lives. Surely when Carmel accepts and lauds its designation as a "green city" it would be inconceivable to destroy the "national treasure of trees " already present on the 59 acres. Thank you for your principled stand on this issue. Mrs. Richard Hauser 1
