B. PROTECTION OF EOUIPMENT:
1. ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT TO BE USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE PROPERLV STOREO
AND PROTECTED AGAINST THE ELEMENTS. ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE STORED UNDER COVER,
AND SHALL NOT BE STORED ATTHE CONSTRUCTION SITE ON THE GROUND, IN MUD, WATER, RAIN,
SLEET, OR DUST. LARGE DIAMETER CABLES MAV BE STORED ON REELS OUTSIDE; HOW EVER, ALL
CABLE ENDS SHALL BE WATERPROOFED AN� THE REELS COVERED WITH WEATHERPROOF
MATERIALS. SUCH WEATHERPROOF MATERIALS SHALL BE HEAVV-DUTV, SEWRELV FASTENED,
AND MADE IMPERVIOUS TO THE ELEMENTS.
2. CONVENTIONALELECTRICALCONSTRUCTIONMATERIALSSUCHASBUILDINGWIRE,OUTLETANO
JUNCTION BOXES, WIRING DEVICES. CONDUIT, LIGHTING FlXTURES, FlTTING$ ETC., SHALL BE

WAREHOUSES. ANV EQUIPMENT SUBJECT TO DAMAGE OR CORROSION FROM E%CESSNE
MOISTURE SHALL BE STOREo IN DRV, HEATEo AREAS. ANV EQUIPMENT CONTAINING PLASTIC OR
MATERIAL SUBJECT TO DAMAGE CAUSED BY EXCESSNE HEAT OR SUNLIGHT SHALL BE STORED

4. ALL ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURES EXPOSED TO CONSTRUCTION DAMAGED SUCH AS PAINT SPOTS,
SPACKLING ORPLASTERSPATTER,GROUTSPLASHES,WATERPROOFMGCOMPOUND,TARSPOTS
OR RUNS, ANo PIPE COVERING COMPOUND SPLASHES, SHALL BE COMPLETELV COVERED AND
PROTECTED AGAINST OAMAGE.
5. IN THE EVENT LEAKAGE INTO THE BUILDING OF ANY FOREIGN MATERIAL OR FLUID OCCURS OR
MAY OCCUR, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL STEPS AS DESCRIBED ABOVE TO PROTECTANV
AND ALL EQUIPMENT.
6. AFfER CONNECTIONS TO ELECTRICAL W UIPMENT ARE COMPLETE AND THE E�UIPMENT IS READY
FOR OPERATION, ALL CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM ALL ENCLOSURES.
SUCH DEBRIS WCWOES OUST, DIRT, W IRE CLIPPINGS, TAPE, AND WSULATION REMOVED IN
ORDER TO MAKE THE CONNECTION.
17 SAFETV AND INDEMNITY
A. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE SOLELV AND COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE FOR CONDITIONS OF THE
J08 SITE, W CLU�ING SAFETY OF ALL PERSONS AND PROPERTV �URING PERFORMANCE OF THE
WORK. THISREQUIREMENTWILLAPPLVCONTINUOUSLYANONOTBELIMITEDTONORMAL

TVPED LIST OF SUBMITTALS AND THE SCHEDULED DATE OF SUBMISSION. LIST SHALL W C W DE
SUBMITTAL NUMBER, SECTION NUMBER AN� SCHEDULED DATE OF SUBMISSION. SUBMITTALS
SHALL BE GROUPED AND SUBMITTED IN NO MORE THAN TEN COMPLETE PACKAGES.
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT SUBMIT ANV SHOP DRAW INGS OR PRODUCT DATA THAT DOES NOT
COMPLYWITHTHECONTRACTDOCUMENTS. PRIORTOSUBMITTINGSHOPDRAWINGS,REVIEW
SUBMITTAL FOR COMPLIANCE WITH CONTRACT OOCUMENTS ANO PLACE A STAMP OR OTHER
