Exterior Insulation Finish System to be the Dryvit Outsulation system. Dryvit contractor to be a certified installer. Dryvit contractor to following manufacturer insulation instructions and details. Contractor to provide finish and color samples to the Owner for selection.2. Existing adhered stone to be removed by others to the existing Laticrete Hydro Ban Dryvit contractor to clear the surface of any remaining debris. Dryvit contractor to prepare the existing surface by using Dryvit Backstop or Tremco Exoair 230 fluid applied air/moisture barrier over the existing Hydro Ban. After the Fluid applied air barrier is installed attached lath mechanically to the substrate followed by a Dryvit Outsulation system adhesively attached to the metal lath. 3. Visual appearance and construction shall conform to the drawings and specifications produced by Connecting Spaces, LLC architects. 2. EIFS shall conform to Dryvit Outsulation Plus MD System Installation Details (DS110) unless noted otherwise. Installation shall comply with all requirements as required for eligibility with manufacturer’s warranty. The EIFS system shall be watertight but free drainage of water to the exterior is required behind all EIFS. 3. Existing damaged cement board shall be neatly cut out and replaced with new matching boards. All holes shall be completely covered with securely new cement board. 4. The cement board shall be covered with house wrap shingled and installed in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s printed instructions. Install as required to ensure a complete watertight covering. Pending conditions revealed after removal of the existing stone, the substrate around the drums of the domes shall be fully covered with Grace Ice & Water Shield instead of house wrap. 5. Install Ultra-Lath Plus ¼” Self-furred Plastic Lath as manufactured by Plastic Components, Inc. over the house wrap. Ensure that free water drainage is provided through the plastic lath. 6. Install stainless steel screws into the plastic screw strips in the existing insulation. Mark existing locations of the screw strips to ensure that the proposed screws are properly located. The stainless steel screws shall be used as the primary anchorage for the cement board and plastic lath. Submit data for the proposed stainless steel screws including manufacturer’s load capacity into the plastic screw strips. 7. Install Panzer reinforcing mesh at the bottom 6 feet portion of the wall and all other high impact areas as required by the Owner. 8. Coordinate EIFS installation with metal flashing and roofing installed by the roofing contractor at the following locations. A. Window and door heads. B. Window and door jambs. C. Window sills. D. Top of wall and all wall intersections with existing metal roofing. E. Gutters. F. Wall base intersection with roofing. Yours truly, John A. Seest Professional Engineer
