RESISTANCE RATING LIKE THAT OF A STEEV'STRUCTUR4L FRAME".
2. THE MINIMUM THICKNESS OF SPRAV-APPLIED FIRE-RESISTIVE MATERIAL (SFRM) FOR STEEL SIDEPLATE CONNECTIONS PLATES THAT ARE NOT
ENCASED IN CONCRETE, SHALL BE DETERMMED JUST LIKE THAT OF A PIPE/TUBE COLUMN SECTION W ITH A CONSTANT STEEL WALL THICKNESS
USING THE THICKNESS OF SIDE PLATE {A} FOR EACH SIDEPLATE WNNECTION ID PER THE SIDEPLATE CONNECTION SCHE�ULE, WHICH ARE
UNIFORMLV HEATED AND PROTECTED (THE FlRE EXPOSURE OF A PIPE/TUBE COLUMN IS DIRECTLV ANALOGOUS TO A PLATE W ITH A 1-SIDED
FlRE EXPOSURE AND PROTECTION). THE SFRM SHALL HAVE BEEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E119 AND LISTED FOR RRE RESISTIVE
PIPEITUBE CO W MN APPLICATIONS FOR NO LE55 THAN THE REQl11RED RATEO TIME.
3. W HEN NO VSE OPTION IS SPECIFIED, PROVIDE A CLOSURE PLATE, AS NEEDE�, FOR SFRM MATERIAL TO MORE EASILV ADHERE T0. ATTACH

CONSTRUCTION GUIDELINES
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME FULL AND COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITV FOR THE MEANS AND METHODS OF CONSTRUCTING THE STEEL
FRAME USING THE SIDEPLATE BOLTED SVSTEM. CONSTRUCTION MEANS AND METHODS SHALL BE COMPLIANT WITH THE CURRENT PROVISIONS
OF AWS D1.1, THE AISC 360 CODE OF STANDARD PRACTICE, THE RCSC HIGH-STRENGTH BOLTING SPEqFICATIONS, AND THE CONSTRUCTION
GUIDELMES PROVIDED HEREIN AND SHALL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
