Please exercise caution and Do Not open attachments or click links from unknown senders or unexpected email. **** Please forward this to the residential committee for consideration. To the committee: Over the past month, Steve Pittman has worked with residents of our community to minimize the impact of Ambleside Development to those most closely affected. With the addition of lane narrowing, raised crosswalks, and median plantings, we have been told that traffic will enter our neighborhood much slower than originally proposed. The neighbors on the south east side of the development have agreed that wider lot lines as well as additional plantings on both sides of the property line meets their requests to minimize the impact of the community literally in their back yards. We still maintain that we do not wish to expand our pond and have requested that the connection be a pipe connection. The board does not think that working with another community to maintain a shared pond is the best plan long term. In our past experience, the communities adjacent to us have been both underfunded and unwilling to jointly do anything, and we have been left with the financial responsibility anyway. We do understand that this decision is in the hands of the drainage board, and plan to attend those meetings. Even though there were always indicators that a residential development would be placed on that property, people resist the change. At this time we feel that the developer has done what we have asked to minimize the impact of the change. As an HOA board, whose responsibility is limited to protecting property values, we can support the Ambleside development.
