2. ALL ITEMS BEING REMOVED FROM PROJECT AREA ARE TO BE
CAREFULLY CONSIDERED FOR REUSE IN THE PROJECT OR
SALVAGED FOR LANDLORD. FOR ALL ITEMS DETERMINED FOR
REMOVAL, REFER TO THE RECYCLING INSTRUCTIONS.
3. REMOVE EXISTING RECEPTACLES AND/OR SWITCHES AS SHOWN
ON PLAN PER LEGEND. PATCH WALL AND PREPARE FOR NEW
FINISHES AS REQUIRED.
4. SALVAGE REMOVED LIGHT FIXTURES AND HVAC DIFFUSERS FOR
REUSE. SEE REFLECTED CEILING PLAN FOR MORE INFORMATION.
5. SALVAGE ALL REMOVED DOORS AND FRAMES FOR REUSE. SEE
DOOR SCHEDULE FOR MORE INFORMATION. IF DOORS AND
FRAMES ARE NOT BEING REUSED, COORDINATE STORAGE WITH
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. IF DOORS WILL BE THROWN AWAY,
CONTACT EMILY HILLYER AT (317)762.7840 TO COORDINATE PICK
UP FOR SCHOTTXCHANGE.
6. ALL FINISHES TO BE REMOVED UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
7. REMOVE ANY POWER/DATA AT ABOVE STANDARD HEIGHT
(18"+AFF) + BLANK PLATES AND PREPARE WALL FOR NEW FINISHES
AS REQUIRED. ALL REMAINING POWER TO REMAIN.
8. AT AREA OF WORK, REMOVE EXISTING CEILING TILE + GRID.
LIGHTING DIFFUSERS, AND RETURNS AS REQUIRED PER NEW WALL
LAYOUT. IN AREA TO BE EXPOSED TO DECK, REMOVE AS MUCH
OF THE EXPOSED CONDUIT, PIPING, JUNCTION BOXES AND
MISCELLANEOUS UNUSED EQUIPMENT IN THE CEILING AS
POSSIBLE. REMOVE LOW PRESSURE SUPPLY BRANCH LINE DUCT
AND REPLACE WITH NEW RIGID SPIRAL DUCT AND ROUND
SUPPLY DIFFUSERS AS REQUIRED. REFER TO SHEET A121 FOR
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
GENERAL NOTES RECYCLING INSTRUCTIONS
METALS ONLY RECYCLING BIN:
1. CONTACT WASTE HAULER TO ORDER TRASH DUMPSTER(S) AS
REQUIRED AND (1) "METALS ONLY" RECYCLING BIN FOR THE
DEMOLITION PORTION OF PROJECT ONLY. SIZE OF "METALS ONLY"
BIN IS DETERMINED BY THE AMOUNT OF DEMOLITION (10-40 YARD
CONTAINERS AVAILABLE).
2. DRYWALL MUST BE REMOVED FROM ALL METAL STUDS PRIOR TO
PLACING IN "METALS ONLY" BIN. ANY ADDED LABOR COST WILL BE
COVERED BY METAL CREDITS RECEIVED FROM WASTE HAULER.
3. WASTE HAULER WILL APPLY CREDIT FOR METALS OBTAINED IN
"METALS ONLY" BIN TOWARDS CONTRACTORS OVERALL INVOICE.
4. DATA/DIVERSION REPORTS ARE NOT REQUIRED NOR ANY LEED
PROCESSES OR PAPERWORK.
APPROVED METAL ITEMS:
5. METAL STUDS, DOOR FRAMES, DOOR HARDWARE, CEILING GRID,
LIGHT BOX FIXTURES, METAL CABINETS, METAL PLUMBING FIXTURES,
ELECTRICAL AND DATA WIRING/CONDUIT, HVAC COMPONENTS,
AND ELECTRICAL/DATA/SWITCH BOXES
CARPET RECYCLING:
6. CONTACT KRUSE CARPET RECYCLING TO SCHEDULE PICK UP OF
ALL CARPET BEING REMOVED (BROADLOOM AND CARPET TILE).
COORDINATE REQUIREMENTS AND PICK UP WITH SUSAN SHAFER
(317) 337-1950. DEMOLITION CREW IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR
KRUSE SERVICE FEES AND WILL ALSO RECOGNIZE A SAVINGS BY
NO LONGER PAYING HAULING/TIPPING FEES ON CARPET
DISPOSAL WITH WASTE HAULER.
7. KRUSE WILL PROVIDE AN ON-SITE BIN ON DAYS REQUIRED.
DEMOLITION CREW IS TO PLACE CARPET DIRECTLY INTO BIN; DOES
NOT NEED TO BE PALLETIZED. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
KEEPING BINS CLEAN AND DRY AS TO NOT CONTAMINATE
CONTENTS.
8. KRUSE PICK UP AND RECYCLING FEES ARE TO BE PAID THROUGH
SCHOTT DESIGN'S "NO COST ADD PROGRAM". CARPET
MANUFACTURER IS TO PAY $1.00 PER SQUARE YARD FOR CARPET
RECYCLING BY REDUCING PRICE OF CARPET MATERIAL BY $1.00.
FLOORING CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DEDUCTING
MATERIAL PRICE AND PAYING $1.00 PER SQUARE YARD TO KRUSE.
SCHOTTXCHANGE:
9. CONTACT SCHOTTXCHANGE BEFORE DEMOLITION OF ITEMS THAT
CANNOT BE RECYCLED OR SALVAGE FOR LANDLORD.
SCHOTTXCHANGE CONSIDERS: DOORS, GLASS WINDOW SYSTEMS,
CABINETS, DECORATIVE LIGHTS, AND FURNITURE. IF ITEMS ARE
ACCEPTED FOR OUR INVENTORY, COORDINATE PICKUP AFTER
DEMOLITION WITH EMILY HILLYER (317)762.7840 AT
SCHOTTXCHANGE AT NO COST TO THE PROJECT.
