Dear Ms. McGuckin:
At the meeting held on Monday, November 23, 2020 the Carmel Advisory Board of Zoning Appeals took the
following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) requests filed by you for the properties located
at 506 W. Smoky Road and 827 Rohrer Road.
APPROVED: North End Apartment Variances -
• Docket # PZ-2020-00166 V: Urban Residential Architectural Standards, Massing, Stepback (Bldgs B & C)
• Docket # PZ-2020-00167 V: Urban Residential Development Standards, Height (Bldg A)
• Docket # PZ-2020-00168 V: Urban Residential Architectural Standards, Massing, Wide Width Lots
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the
improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must
have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is Nov. 23, 2023.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
