CONTAIN A DIAGRAM OF THE W NTROL SVSTEM ARCHITECTURE. W IR W G DIAGRAMS AND A SEQUENCE
OF OPERATION. THE MANUAL SHALL ALSO INCLUDE AN 11 X i] ROOR PLAN INDICATING THE MAJOR
EQUIPMENT AND PANEL LOCATIONS. THE MANUAL SHALL BE BOUND IN A HARD BACK 3 RING BINDER
WITH DIVIDERS. BINDER SHALL BE LABELED "H.V.A.0 TEMPERATURE CONTROL MANUAL" AND INCLUDE
THE PROJECT NAME AS W ELL AS THE BUIL�ING NAME, NUMBER AND ADDRESS.
2. LABEL ALL CONTROL PANELS, ACTUATORS, SENSORS, ETC WITH 1/8" THICK PLASTIC LAMINATE SIGNS.
SEE DRAW INGS FOR LABEL AND LETTERING REQUIREMENTS. LABEL DESIGNATIONS SHALL BE
CONSISTENT WITH THE �RAWINGS, TEMPERATURE CONTROL SVSTEM MANUAL AND DIAGRAMS.
3. MOUNTWALLMOUNTEDTHERMOSTATS,TEMPERATURESENSORSANDCARBONMONOXIDESENSORS
4'-0" ABOVE FINISH FLOOR. DO NOT MOUNT THERMOSTATS OR TEMPERATURE SENSORS IN DIRECT

ORAWINGS AND M THE SPECIFICATIONS. COORDINATE STARTER REpUIREMENTS WITH THE
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR AND THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO ORDERING.

QUANTITV AND SIZES WITH THE CONTRACTOR. SEE ELECTRICAL DRAW INGS FOR LOCATION.
1. THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM W IRING AND
CON�UIT REGARDLESS OF VOLTAGE AS REQUIRE� TO PROVIDE THE SPECIFlED SEQUENCE OF
OPERATION OR SATISFV ANV MANUFACTURER REQUIREMENTS. POW ER AN� CONTROL W IRING AND
CONDUIT FOR VALVEACTUATORS, DAMPER ACTUATORS CARBON MONOXIDE SENSORS,
TEMPERATURE CONTROL PANELS, RELAYS, INDICATOR LIGHTS, REMOTE CONTROL PANELS, SOLENOID
VALVES AND OTHER SIMILAR DEVICES THAT ARE PART OF THE H V A.0 SVSTEM SHALL BE PROVIDED

BREAKERS SPEQFICALLY DEDICATED FOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM COMPONENTS. ALL 120 V
CONTROL WIRING SHALL BE INSTALLE� IN CONDUIT. CONCEALED ABOVE CEILING PLENUM RATE� LOW
VOLTAGE (24 VOLTS OR LESS) CONTROL WIRING DOES NOT REQUIRE TO BE INSTALLED IN CONDUIT.
8. THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDEALLCONTROLS, RELAVS, SENSORS, CONTROLLERS,
CONTROLTRANSFORMERS,CONTROLINTERFACECOMPONENTS,SOFTWARE,HARDWARE,
ACTUATORS, SW ITCHES AND ANV OTHER CONTROL COMPONENTS REQ W RED TO PROVIDE THE
SPECIFIED SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS ON PLANS, TO WTEGRATE PROJECT CONTROLS AND SVSTEM,
AND TO MEET EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION AN� OPERATION REQUIREMENTS,

9. IT SHALL BE THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS RESPONSIeILITV TO COORDINATE ALL TEMPERATURE
CONTROL SVSTEM REQUIREMENTS WITH THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE
OR INSTALLATION OF ANV OF THE ELECTRICAL POWER OR TEMPERATl1RE CONTROL SVSTEM
COMPONENT.
10. ALL DAMPERS ON THE MLET OR OUTLET OF THE FAN SHALL BE OPEN PRIOR TO STARTING THE FAN.
PROVIDE ANY TIME DELAVS OR END SWITCHES AS REQUIRED.
11. IN PUBLIC AREAS PROVIDE CLEAR PLASTIC VENTED IMPACT RESISTANT LOCKABLE GUARDS ON ALL
WALL MOUNTED THERMOSTATS OR SENSORS WITH ADJUSTABLE SET-POINTS.
IDENTIFICATION:
1. PROVIDE PLASTIC LAMINATE IDENTIFICATION LABELS ON ALL EQUIPMENT SCHEDULE� ON THE
DRAWINGS. THE IDENTIRCATION SHALL BE CONSISTENT WITH THE PLANMARKS SHOW N ON THE
�RAWINGS AND THE BAS SVSTEM USER INTERFACE SEE DETAILS ON DRAW WGS REGARD WG COLOR,
SIZE, TEXT HEIGHT, ETC.
2. PROVIDE PLASTIC LAMINATE IDENTIFlCATION LABELS ON ALL TEMPERATURE CONTROL COMPONENTS
SUCH AS CONTROL PANELS, TEMPERATURE SENSORS, HUMIDITV SENSORS, ETC. THE I�ENTIFICATION
SHALL eE CONSISTENT W ITH THE PLANMARKS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS W HERE AVAILABLE AND

3. PLASTIC LAMINATE SIGNS AND LABELS ON OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT SHALL BE RXED TO EQUIPMENT
WITH STAWLESS STEEL OR AW MINUM RIVETS OR STAWLE55 STEEL OR PLATED SCREWS.

GENERAL:
1. WSTALL THE H.V.A.G SYSTEM AS INDICATED IN ACCOR�ANCE WITH ALL STATE ANO LOCAL
CODES.
2 COORDINATEALLWORKWITHOTHERTRADES.REWORKOFPIPING,DUCTWORK,EQUIPMENT
LOCATION, WNDUIT. ETQ AS A RESULT OF POOR PLANNWG. COORDINATION OR SCHEDULING
SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITV OF THE INVOLVED CONTRACTORS. NOTIFV THE
ARCHITECTIENGINEER OF ANV CONFLICTS PRIOR TO START OF WORK.
3. THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COORDINATION OF ANV
FRAMING REVISIONS, EQUIPMENT LOCATIONS, AD�ITION OF CONTROLS, ELECTRICAL CIRCUITING
REVISIONS, ETG THAT RESULT FROM USMG EQUIPMENT OTHER THAN THOSE INDICATED ON
THE DRAW INGS. APPROVAL OF THE SHOP DRAW INGS BV THE ARCHITECTIENGMEER W ILL NOT

4. THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE THE RNAL RESPONSIBILITV FOR SYSTEM START
UP, TRAINING, WARRANTY AND Tl1RN OVER TO THE OW NER. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR INSTRUCTING THE OWNER ON ANY ROUTINE MAINTENANCE REQUIRED
DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD.
5. ALL ITEMS INCLUDED ON THESE �RAWINGS AND THE SPECIFICATIONS SHALL BE INCLUDED IN
THE CONTRACTORS BID. ANV ITEMS THAT ARE UNCLEAR OR FOUND TO BE INCORRECT BV THE

2 COORDINATION OF Ol1CT SVSTEM INSTALLATION WITH OTHER TRADES SHALL BE PERFORMED
PRIOR TO THE FABRICATION OF ANV DUCTWORK. VERIFV DUCT CLEARANCES PRIOR TO
FABRICATION. NOTIFV THE ARCHITECT/ENGINEER OF ANV CONFLICTS THAT RE�UIRE
DIMENSIONAL CHANGES OR REQUIRE MAJOR RELOCATION OF DUCTWORK.
