Mayor Brainard, City Council Members, and Plan Commission Secretary,
As the CEO of Allied Solutions, we are a significant employer in the Carmel area with over 650 employees actively
enjoying all that our beautiful community has to offer. Part of our recruiting efforts to attract young talent are the
environment and recreational enjoyment available to them in this particular district within the Carmel city limits.
Considering all the challenges that have arisen for restaurants, bars, and other social gathering areas due to the
pandemic, I feel it would be very disappointing not to approve The GOAT with the proper zoning classification to allow it
to conduct business in a fashion that is acceptable to all of us in this community. In speaking with several individuals
with authority, it is my understanding that the commitment was to approve the temporary zoning permit over to a
permanent zoning classification that allows The GOAT to continue to conduct business.
The owner, of The GOAT, Kevin Paul, has been taking significant measures to improve the environment to help
accommodate the requests of several individuals and other business owners. My business, Allied Solutions, with its 650
strong employees along with their families and friends, are key contributors to the economy and well-being of our city.
personally am a resident at The Railyard at Midtown and Allied Solutions has two additional corporate apartments in
this same complex. Our organization also has approximately 30 employees who reside at The Railyard. Without
exception, I can tell you not only from my own personal experience, but from individuals that are guests in our
corporate apartments as well as our employees, that none of us have complaints or disruption due to The GOAT.
My contact information is included in my signature line below. If you have any questions or would like to discuss
further, please do not hesitate to reach back out.
Respectfully,
Pete Hilger
CEO
