CPAAC Comments on art and location:
The CPAAC recommends that the city establishes which song(s) will be chosen and the licensing
is secured before Bayliss starts the building process of the kiosks. The CPAAC also expressed
that they would like to see the Residents of Carmel be able to choose the song(s) for the Kiosks.
This could be done thru a competition or voting thru social media. The end thought after
speaking with Bayliss and Kashman is that the kiosks need more specifics brought forth and
answers to the questions of which song(s) are chosen, the quality of sound, other specific
verbiage that kiosks will output, information on how the speaker will be encased or displayed
and protected, and licensing of the song(s). It was determined that this piece of art is still in the
making.
