Kashman and Bayliss had mentioned that there might be a name change to that area and more walkability in the area. The original name is “The Point” and it may change to something with roses hence the art piece called “Roses.” The artist is open to using peonies (IN state flower) in the piece rather than roses. Bayliss stated that the rendering isn’t finished yet and is only in the conceptual form. The height of the piece was discussed with Bayliss mentioning that it might be too tall currently and he will look into scaling that down. The CPAAC is asking for Bayliss and Kashman to come back and speak to us once they have answers to how the area will look in the future including walkability and a possible name change of the area before the CPAAC can vote for the location of this art piece “Roses”.
