Water/Sanitary/Storm System Description
WATER
The water for this site will be served by City of Carmel Utilities. There is an existing 12” main
on east side of Ditch Road across the frontage of this property. There is currently a connection
to this 12” main for the existing mansion on this site. We will verify if the size of this existing
connection is large enough to serve this proposed development. If not, we would tap another
connection with the appropriate size main and bring another main connection across Ditch Road
near our entrance to this subdivision. We will continue to work with Carmel Utilities on our
connections and service requirements for this site.
SANITARY
The sanitary for this site will be served by TriCo Regional Sewer Utility. There is currently an
existing 10” sewer main installed along the east side of Ditch Road and an existing 10” main
connection to this site across Ditch Road to serve the existing mansion on this site. Sanitary
sewer currently flows to the existing Laurel Woods lift station. We will use this 10” main to
serve this proposed subdivision and the existing mansion on this site. We will continue to work
with Trico on our connections and service requirements for this site.
STORM
The storm sewer system will be public and meet the design requirements of the City of Carmel
Stormwater Technical Standards Manual. The existing ground generally flows from southwest
to northeast. Our storm system will be designed in a similar manner to collect storm sewer
runoff from the site and route the runoff through proposed detention ponds located within this
site prior to discharge leaving the site. We will continue to work with the City of Carmel
Engineering Department on our storm design and detention requirements for this site.
