HomeMy WebLinkAboutZ-661-20/Rezoning 2.14 Acres at 0 E. 116th St ORDINANCE Z-661-20 Page 1 of 4 ORDINANCE Z-661-20 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA Rezoning 2.14 acres at 0 E. 116th 116th Street from R-1/Residential to the B-3/Business District. Synopsis: This ordinance rezones approximately 2.14 acres to the B-3/Business zoning district. Approximately one half of the parcel is currently zoned B-3/Business and approximately one half of the parcel is zoned R-1/Residential. The parcel is located on the southeast quadrant of 116th Street and Rangeline Road / Westfield Blvd. WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4, the Common Council has lawfully adopted a unified development ordinance, the terms of which are applicable to the geographic area consisting of the incorporated area of the City of Carmel, Indiana, which unified development ordinance has been codified in Chapter 10 of the Carmel City Code; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4-602 the Common Council is authorized to amend the map that is part of the unified development ordinance; and WHEREAS, the Carmel Advisory Plan Commission gave a favorable recommendation on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, to Docket No. PZ-2020-00130 Z regarding the rezoning of 0 E. 116th Street, described on Exhibit A and illustrated on Exhibit B, which is incorporated herein by this reference (the “Real Property Parcels”). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that: Section I: That the Official Zoning Map accompanying and made part of the Unified Development Ordinance is hereby changed to designate the Real Property Parcels from the R-1/Residential District to the B-3/Business District. Section II: All prior Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and signing by the Mayor.
