HomeMy WebLinkAboutZ-660-20/Stout's Shoes Rezone 11/16/2020 Ordinance Z-660-20 1 Sponsor: Councilor Rider ORDINANCE Z-660-20 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA ___________________________________________________ Rezoning 4 parcels located at the northeast corner of Old Meridian Street and Main Street from the UC/Urban Core District to the C2/Mixed Use District Synopsis: This ordinance rezones 4 parcels located at the northeast corner of Old Meridian Street and Main Street to the C2/Mixed Use District for the purpose of facilitating the redevelopment of the Stout’s Shoes site as well as a vacant animal hospital. WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4, the Common Council has lawfully adopted a unified development ordinance, the terms of which are applicable to the geographic area consisting of the incorporated area of the City of Carmel, Indiana, which unified development ordinance has been codified in Chapter 10 of the Carmel City Code; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4-602 the Common Council is authorized to amend the map that is part of the unified development ordinance; and WHEREAS, the Carmel Advisory Plan Commission gave a favorable recommendation on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, to Docket No. PZ-2020-00100 Z regarding the rezoning of 4 parcels located at the northeast corner of Old Meridian Street and Main Street, illustrated and described in Exhibits A & B, which is incorporated herein by this reference (the “Real Property Parcels”). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, that: Section I: That the Official Zoning Map accompanying and made part of the Unified Development Ordinance is hereby changed to designate the Real Property Parcels from the UC/Urban Core District to the C2/Mixed Use District. Section II: All prior Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and signing by the Mayor.
