Analysis shall include particle gradation and percentage, infiltrationrates, pH, percent organic, and nutrient levels. Soil testing shall be done at theexpense of the contractor.2.Contractor may re-use existing topsoil on-site so long as the soil meets the requiredcharacteristics. Topsoil not conforming to the required soil profile characteristics maybe amended by contractor to bring it into conformance.3.Contractor to protect existing soils from compaction, contamination, and degradationduring construction.4.Install soils in maximum lifts/layers of 12" at a time.5.Subsoil below installed soils should be tilled or scarified prior to installing soil, andbetween lifts.5.All soil and soil amendments, including topsoil, sand, and compost shall be free ofweeds and weed seeds.8.Mulch surface of exposed soil in planting areas with 3" layer of natural shreddedhardwood mulch.
