Subject: Albany Village PUD
Dear members of the Carmel City Council Land Use and Special Studies Committee:
I am writing as the president of the Tallyn's Ridge Home Owners Association, which is the property due
east of the Albany Village PUD. The developers of the Albany Village PUD,Steve Pittman and Paul Rioux
were kind enough to meet with me and three sitting members of the Carmel City Council, Kevin Rider,
Tim Hannon and Jeff Worrell on March 18`h. The opportunity to listen to the developers as well as the
city council members was very beneficial in paving the way to a compromise that I believe will assist in
moving this project forward.
As a follow up to that meeting Steve Pittman and I were able to agree on multiple concessions to be
provided by Lamb Property Developer, LLC and Logan Group, LLC to the specific homeowners directly
abutting the eastern boundary of Albany Village,a general concession to the Tallyn's Ridge HOA and a
speed calming device(assuming this would be acceptable to the Carmel City Engineer)where Albany
Village and Tallyn's Ridge would connect via Trahan Dr.
I have also discussed these commitments with the other members of our HOA board and we are
unanimous in our approval to endorse the PUD as it has been requested without any additional
adjustments. Our HOA does feel that the developer has put a good faith effort forward in working to
blend their community with our existing community and would like to publically thank them for this
effort.
I am currently out of town, but would be happy to discuss any direct questions your committee might
have for our group and appear in person at a later date if so requested.
Thank you
Robert Auster
President,Tallyn's Ridge HOA
