AND CEILING FINISHES WILL BE CLASS B MINIMUM, WITH A FLAME SPREAD RATING OF
75 MAXIMUM AND A SMOKE DEVELOPED INDEX OF 450 MAXIMUM PER IBC SECTION 803
G. PREPARE ALL FLOOR AND WALL CONSTRUCTION, NEW AND/OR EXISTING, TO RECEIVE
NEW FINISHES IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER’S RECOMMENDED
INSTALLATION METHODS AND MATERIALS FOR ALL FINISHES.
H. PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF NEW FINISHES, CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT ALL
SUBSTRATES. IF A SUBSTRATE IS DEEMED UNACCEPTABLE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION OR CONTACT THE
ARCHITECT WITH THE CONCERN. PROCEEDING WITH THE INSTALLATION OF FINISHES
WILL BE INDICATION THAT THE INSTALLER / FINISHER ACCEPTS CONDITION OF
SUBSTRATE.
I. USE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION METHODS AND MATERIALS FOR
ALL FINISHES.
J. ALL NECESSARY TILE FLOORING UNDERLAYMENT TO BE PROVIDED AND INSTALLED BY
FLOORING CONTRACTOR
K. FLOORING CONTRACTOR TO LEVEL SUBSTRATE AS REQUIRED TO ACCEPT NEW
FLOORING MATERIAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATION.
FOR CARPET REQUIRING SEAMING, PROVIDE SEAM DIAGRAM LAYOUT FOR DESIGNER
APPROVAL PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
L. CARPET SEAMS TO BE LOCATED AT CENTERLINE OF DOOR WHEN DOOR IS IN CLOSED
POSITION
M. ALL FLOORING TRANSITIONS SHALL COMPLY WITH ADA GUIDELINES. FLOORING
