Dear Planning Commission Members,
I am writing in regards to the amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance for a 500-foot public health safety
zone between homes, schools, and senior care facilities, and future gas stations.
I am highly concerned that the city lacks protection from the negative health implications from gas stations and where
people live. We now have the studies and statistics that show people & children that live near a gas station are at a
higher risk for cancer, respiratory issues, and other health complications. Please support this amendment and keep
Carmel healthy & safe.
