Nick,

I have answered the questions to the best of my ability. I do not recall many of these being on the
application before. The Fire Marshall always comes to inspect the tent after it is put up. (We rent the
tent and the company is aware of safety concerns and rules.
I hope this information is helpful.
If you would like me to talk to the Fire Marshall or you need more information, please feel free to
contact me.
Thanks for all your help.

Subject: St. Marks Temporary Structure
Good morning-
Regarding the temporary use permit you submitted for St. Marks, can you please send me the following
information:
Dates of proposed use: July 16 thru July 25
Hours of operation: Sunday, July 18 9 AM- 1 PM; Monday- Friday, 8 AM- 2:00 PM
Will cooking equipment be used? No
Size of structure (sq ft) 80 x 60 Tent (Inside Structures)
Will open flames be used? No
Will a sign be required? No
Also, please provide a detailed description as to exactly what the proposed tent is to be used for.
Additionally, provide a detailed life safety plan that should include all the following:
1. Detail and show on the plan any seating areas and all seating arrangements. During the week
the tent will be used for Vacation Bible School. Groups of kids doing activities. (They will be
broken into groups. I estimate about 25 kids in each group)
2. Provide a detailed occupant load with occupant load calculations shown. Not sure what this is
asking. For the worship service we usually have about 270 people. We set up folding chairs with
aisles I attached a site plan to the original application. I am reattaching her
3. Show any standing areas. There will be a stage with people singing and preaching.
4. On the tent life safety plan, identify each required exit, exit sign locations and emergency
lighting, fire extinguisher locations and tent dimensions. This is done when we have the
inspection.
5. Detail all locations and types for any and all appliances, generators, heating & air conditioning
equipment and cooking equipment Not applicable
6. Will the tent have sidewalls? If so identify all exit locations. We do not believe there are flaps
down on the tent.
7. Show any electrical distribution equipment. This is covered when we have the inspection.
